A couple of weeks ago, I made the long journey from Norwich to Athelington Hall Farm Lodges near Eye in Suffolk. Although rain was forecast, I was keeping my fingers crossed for good weather for the wedding of Zoe and Dean.
I arrived early in the morning to photograph the bride- and groom-to-be getting ready. The venue is owned by Hoseasons and is made up of around 20 wooden cabins set in a vast field next to a farm. This was great as it meant the entire wedding party was already there when I arrived. At the edge of the venue's grounds was a small (and I mean small) church that Zoe and Dean used for their ceremony. They had also set up a stunning marquee in the middle of the field for their reception, the interior of which was decorated with beautiful neutral-coloured decorations along with lots of flowers and greenery.
Their wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. Here are my favourite images from the day (click to expand):
I've been working really hard the past couple of weeks. Last week I photographed a friend's newborn baby, followed by the mehndi party of Habiba, whose engagement I shot. And next weekend I have another wedding, plus an 80th birthday party to photograph. August and September are keeping me on my toes! Stay tuned for more updates.
